The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, which will be enforced beginning in May 2018, will affect organizations throughout the world because it applies to any company that handles Europeans’ personal data, says Fred Kost of HyTrust.
In an audio interview at RSA Conference 2017, Kost discusses:
- The role encryption will play in GDPR compliance;
- Why storing data in the cloud will pose increasing regulatory compliance issues; and
- How “data sovereignty” can ensure credentials are built into a trusted model.
Kost, senior vice president of marketing at HyTrust, has extensive security market experience.
