DocuSign eSignature provides electronic signature technology for facilitating electronic exchanges of contracts and signed documents. DocuSign’s features include authentication services, user identity management and workflow automation. Magic xpi Integration platform automates business processes that integrate Docusign with other enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP and eCommerce suites. With Docusign, you can choose from the SOAP API, REST API, SDK, Webhooks and Go Live.
With the REST API, for example, Magic xpi can automate 222 different Docusign API methods. We won’t take the time to review all 222 methods, but at a high level they are described in these categories:
Accounts. Magic xpi can automate Docusign account management tasks including creation and deletion of accounts; querying account information; branding an account; and managing account charges.
Authentication. Magic xpi can automate login and authentication via the Docusign API to manage account login procedures such as obtaining user login information; Managing linked social accounts, and managing OAuth tokens.
Billing. Magic xpi can also automate Docusign billing related tasks such as retrieval and updating of billing plan information, fetching of invoices, and finding and updating payment information.
BulkEnvelopes. With the Docusign API’s Bulk Envelopes capabilities, Magic xpi Integration Platform can be used to automate the sending of envelopes to multiple recipients.
CloudStorage. Magic xpi can automatically retrieve a list of documents for a specified user that are being stored in cloud storage. In addition, Magic xpi can automate the exchange of credentials with cloud service providers.
Connect. You are not allowed to poll DocuSign more than once every 15 minutes. Fortunately, Magic xpi does not need to poll Docusign. With the Connect method, Magic xpi can be notified when an event of interest occurs in Docusign thereby triggering a Magic xpi process.
CustomTabs. Magic xpi can automate the creation and deletion of pre-configured CustomTabs in Docusign. Custom tabs save time when users are tagging documents since the users don’t have to manually set the tabs’ parameters.
Diagnostics. The Magic xpi Monitor provides full integration logging capabilities. Magic xpi can automate the Docusign API call-logging. Magic xpi can also get information on the API’s resources and versions.
Envelopes. A DocuSign® envelope is a container used to send one or more documents for signature using the DocuSign system. Envelopes can contain multiple documents and can be sent to several recipients. The documents can have multiple pages. Magic xpi can automate the sending and managing of envelopes and envelope data in Docusign. Envelopes are the key objects within the DocuSign eSignature system. As a result, they are complex data structures with several required fields. In addition to receiving notifications, Magic xpi can monitor the status of your envelopes by getting the status of an individual envelope, getting the status of a list of envelopes, and getting just the status changes for specified envelopes.
Folders. Magic xpi can also automate Folders to manage envelopes in your folders including listing the folder contents and moving envelopes between folders.
SigningGroups. Magic xpi can automatically manage signing groups which allow anyone in the group to sign a document. Capabilities incluide creating the signing group and managing the users in the group.
Templates. Templates are one of the more powerful features within Docusign. Templates can be created automatically by Magic xpi or can be created via the DocuSign web interface and then used by your application. Magic xpi Integration Platform can automate management of your account’s templates by creating, listing, getting, updating, and deleting templates. Magic xpi can also automate template notifications and group sharing settings and more.
UserGroups. Magic xpi can automatically manage Docusign permissions groups by creating and deleting groups; adding and deleting users in a group; and managing the brand information associated with a group.
Users. Magic xpi can automate users in Docusign accounts by establishing custom user settings; managing a users profile; adding and deleting users; and adding and deleting the initials and signature images for a user.
To start sending and signing legally binding signature requests through your app you will need to promote a sandbox Integrator Key to a live production account. Note that you need Administrator privileges to enable API access in your live production account.
Integrating to JD Edwards Agreement Management and Other JD Edwards Modules. As with other signature management tools, there are numerous touchpoints for agreements and signatures in JD Edwards. The JD Edwards Agreement Management module can benefit from Docusign integration. JD Edwards Agreements Management module supports agreements such as: Exchange Agreements; Loan or Borrow Agreements; Tonne per Tonne Agreements; Throughput Agreements; Consignment Agreements; and Storage Agreements.
Magic xpi can automatically set processing options for the JD Edwards Agreement Master (P38010) process. Common interface configuration patterns for Docusign integration may take the developer to the JD Edwards Master Maintenance Tables especially F38010 which stores the partner, contract effective dates, and other information to process the contract; and JD Edwards Transaction Processing Tables, especially F38111 which stores quantity and amount information for all agreement transactions and adjustments.
In summary, Magic xpi can be used to automate Docusign integration between JD Edwards, all Oracle Cloud applications and virtually all other enterprise systems. The benefits of automated business process management are manifested with the use of Magic xpi Integration Platform for Docusign, JD Edwards and enterprise software integration.
